Using HeyPenny with any ability

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we test with a keyboard and screen readers as we build.

What we do

• Every calculator works with a keyboard alone: Enter moves to the next question, arrow keys choose an option.
• Every chart has a table of its figures for screen readers.
• Text and essential colours meet contrast guidelines; red is never the only way a meaning is shown.
• Pages work at 400% zoom and on a phone without sideways scrolling.
• PDFs are tagged with a title and language, and their text can be copied and read aloud.
