Tax refund
Tax paid back when you've paid more than you owe.
Refunds usually come from unclaimed credits and reliefs, emergency tax, or gaps in work. You can claim back up to four years. Request a Statement of Liability (Revenue's end-of-year summary) in myAccount to see if you're owed.
