How much can I get from SEAI to upgrade my home?

Common questions

How much is the heat pump grant?

Up to €14,500 for a house, or €11,500 for an apartment. That includes up to €2,000 for radiators and a €2,000 boiler scrappage grant. An air to air heat pump gets €9,500.

Do the grants depend on income?

No. The amounts are fixed for each kind of home. People on some welfare payments, first-time buyers and landlords on HAP or the Rental Accommodation Scheme get more for the attic.

When is the grant paid?

After the work is done and a registered assessor gives the home a new BER (Building Energy Rating). You send in the signed paperwork, and the grant is paid.
